Information about an incident during a student event in Oslo.

Oslo University Hospital (Ullevål) provides today, Monday 22 August at 12:04 p.m. the following information:

Woman, 21 years, injured in the incident at Sentrum Scene, yesterday evening, is beeing treated for minor injuries at Oslo University Hospital (Ullevål).

– This unfortunate incident was something that should not have happened. We are relieved that the accident was not more serious. We will continue our efforts to take care of our students and parents in this situation, says Yngve Kveine, Communications Director at BI.

BI will continue to facilitate a meeting place (Kroa) from 12.00 today, where students can meet.

Updated information regarding the incident at Sentrum Scene Sunday 21 August:

The police confirm the following in regard to the incident during a student event at Sentrum Scene in Oslo: 15 people have been injured. 14 have been sent to the emergency room and one person is sent to Oslo University Hospital, Ullevaal.

Overall, approximately 1650 people attended the student event at Sentrum Scene.

It has been established a crisis team at the Oslo Emergency Room with health professionals to ensure that students and parents are taken care of in the best possible way.

We have been informed about an incident during a student event at Sentrum Scene in Oslo this afternoon. Police, ambulance and fire services are on site.

We are awaiting further information from the police.

Our primary focus now is to take care of and follow up our students and get an overview of the situation.
