The paper focuses on the popular Situational Leadership Theory. While it probably is one of the world’s most popular theories in leadership and management training programs, it is as of yet under-researched. This paper is an important contribution to making the widely used theory evidence-based, as opposed to just being intuitively sound.
As such, the authors think SLT in an updated “convergent” version should be applied in organizations and thought in leadership development programs.
