Responsible and meaningful research: Challenging the academic PoP-culture

Morten Huse, Professor emeritus at BI Norwegian Business School; Department of Communication and Culture. He was President of the EURAM (2010-2012) and a Member of the Board of Governors at the Academy of Management (AOM 2019-2022). His research agenda includes contributing to gender equality in business and society, with a focus on questions related to value creating board, getting women on boards and contributing to developing a “sharing” philosophy of conducting management research.

Morten has endorsed RRBM and signed the DORA declarations. His award-winning book from 2020 is about resolving the crisis in research by changing the game. As a response to the criticism of the present POP-culture in academia, he is introducing a “sharing philosophy” as a way to get back to true scholarship. His keynote will be on the topic of doing research with meaning, and will be embedded in the 2020 book.
