Through the BI Alumni Awards, we recognize outstanding alumni who have shown strong community engagement and excelled professionally. Read more about our winners here!

The BI Alumni Awards recognises outstanding alumni who have demonstrated strong community engagement, excelled professionally and are in recognition of outstanding achievements and contributions in their careers and communities. 

The winners shows dedication, passion and commitment, and is excellent role models for all our current students and future alumni.

The award is divided into two different categories: Young Alumni Award and Distinguished Alumni Award.

Young Alumni Award 2023

Liselotte Farstad
Liselotte Farstad

Liselotte Farstad

Her efforts and involvement started during her studies when she had an internship in the Government Pension Fund Global (Oljefondet). During her internship, Farstad developed a trading model that was used to invest two billion kroner in the stock and bond markets. 

This is visible proof that it is possible to achieve an enormous amount as a young student and early in his working career. These are achievements that are inspiring for our students who are looking forward to entering the job market.

Christian H. Skjelbakken

Christian H. Skjelbakken is an inspiration for BI students and an example of how to give back as an alumni from BI.

When we call to ask him to share his experiences, and career advice with students, he never says no. Whether it's Back to School, Academic Day, Roadshow, Career Days, Bry deg-week, or anything else. He always says, "Yes, I can come." or "I'm in." This year's Young Alumni graduated as a real estate agent from BI in 2018 and is today one of the founders behind Heime, where the goal is to create neighborhoods and homes where community and social sustainability flourish.

Elin Sinervo

Elin Sinervo

Her efforts as CEO of Volkswagen Møller Bilfinans, strong leadership figure and the ability to lead with a focus on people, as well as being a champion for gender equality in a male-dominated industry, have been mentioned in the nomination for this award.

She has built a career that has great impact and impact on society and is an alumni that our students look up to, while also inspiring our students who are looking forward to entering the job market.

Morten Borge

Morten Borge

His efforts as CEO of Ferd AS, and the vision of Ferd AS creating value for society as a whole, have been mentioned in the nomination for this award. He has a heavy responsibility for investments in energy, oil services and maritime industry. 

In addition, he is a member of Folketrygdefondet's board for the period 2023-2027. He has built a career that has great impact and impact on society and is an alumni that our students look up to and inspire our students who look forward to entering the job market.

Sumeet Singh Patpatia

Sumeet Singh Patpatia

His efforts to highlight diversity as value creation in businesses is something that has been highlighted in the nomination. Diversity as a superpower for business task solving has a huge impact on society.

In addition, the work he has done on the establishment and management of Turban Day is recognized.

Kristian Vogt

His efforts as a leader in Telia Norway, as well as international experience in Accenture, have been mentioned in the nomination for this award. He has built a career that has great impact and impact on society and is an alumni that our students look up to and inspire our students who look forward to entering the job market.

Runar Hollevik

His efforts as CEO of NorgesGruppen, and how he sees NorgesGruppen as a team where each individual contributes to lifting the team to new heights, has been mentioned in the nomination for this award. 

He has built a career that has great impact and impact on society and is an alumni that our students look up to and inspire our students who look forward to entering the job market.  

Thina Saltvedt
Thina Saltvedt

Thina Saltvedt

Her efforts as chair of the expert committee appointed by the government to explore opportunities for climate-friendly investments and as chief analyst in Nordea's Sustainable Finance department really leave her mark on the public debate.

She is known for her positive attitude and contribution to panel debates and events and is a strong ambassador for BI. Her career path is inspiring for our students who are looking forward to entering the job market.
